Upon arrival, we were greeted with a cream tea and beautiful flowers, which was a lovely touch. the cottage itself was impeccably clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. It was also well located for exploring Cornwall and beyond. the village where the cottage is situated was peaceful and had a convenient shop, post office, and pub. the off-road parking and private garden seating areas were also a plus. The cottage had a charming and cozy decor, which made me feel right at home. The seating areas were very comfortable and the whole place was easy to navigate, perfect for us seniors.
I wish there were more activities specifically designed for seniors to enjoy during our stay. The children working there could have organized some gentle exercises or a book club for us to take part in.

The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, and the peaceful village offered a welcome break from the tourist trails. The hot water in the shower was a bit hit and miss, and we struggled with the shower door and bathroom light switch.

The cottage was very clean and cosy, with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space for clothes. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary utensils and even had some essential condiments and cleaning supplies. The hosts were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed. the cottage had a TV that allowed us to log into our own streaming accounts, which was a nice bonus.
The hot water in the shower was hit and miss, and we had difficulty turning on the power shower due to a finicky shower door. The bathroom also had poor lighting, with a pull switch that was difficult to find in the dark.

Lovely garden for summer relaxation: The garden at Swallow Cottage provided a tranquil oasis, perfect for savoring a lazy afternoon. With its vibrant blooms and cozy seating area, it felt like stepping into a hidden paradise.
Lack of heating during summer: While the summer months are generally warm, we did experience a few cooler evenings during our stay. It would have been nice to have heating available for those occasions.
